Just a little theory on why there’s only three types of carnations.

And I thought mother’s day might be a nice day to show it off!

So what I’m basically saying is that, your mother and father gives you only one type of carnation per year (separately: Pink ones on mother’s day and red ones on father’s day) and the ONLY way to get white carnations is place the red carnations and the pink carnations next to each other (in a safe spot i recommend)  and water both of them and eventually you’ll get a white one! (results may vary)

and since white carnations are the “offspring” of both pink and red carnations, it could be referring to a child that the parents care oh so deeply about.

So basically, the carnations symbolize family!
